On our trip to the states last year, we managed to do a lot of bucket list shit that we won’t ever forget, visiting iconic venues, a music festival, gigs, amazing food… the lot, and we have a lot of stories to tell, but today’s is about the start of our little adventure which set the tone for what was to come.

First of all… Milwaukee is fucking cool, when searching online what to do out there three things stuck out:

1. Go to the Harley Museum

2. Enjoy the night life at some unique spots

3. Get murdered… apparently

Luckily, we opted only for the first two and even though Milwaukee apparently has the fifth highest homicide rate in the states, we only felt the love on our short trip there!

HD Museum

Anyone who knows C&C, knows our love for Harleys – we have ‘em, we decorate C&C HQ with their gear, we even have a real dealer’s sign in our warehouse we shipped from France! It was essential that if we went to the states we went to that museum! And oh boy, was that shit worth it!

Housing more than 450 Harley-Davidson motorcycles and hundreds of thousands of artifacts from the Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s century-plus existence, the Harley Davidson Museum is like a treasure trove, it’s simply full of incredible Harley stuff!

The museum displays both timeless classics and unique prototypes, including the oldest known Harley bike, "Serial Number One." The exhibits trace the growth of HD from a small shed in Milwaukee to what it is today, a fucking powerhouse!

Interactive exhibits, original gear, and meticulously preserved records allow visitors to dive deep into the company's rich history. The “Experience Gallery” even permits visitors the chance to sit on a variety of bikes including the banging new Breakout and don’t even get me started on the tank wall, honestly the place is incredible, and we’ll never forget our visit there.

Shaker’s Cigar Bar

Don’t get me started man, this place was a blast!

Google told us to go there, we did, we loved it. Shaker’s Bar is considered one of the most haunted bars in America and what used to be a frequent haunt for serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (they even have the stool he used to sit on), this place is a blast and had the coolest staff and owner!

As soon as you get near, you can tell shakers is rad, it looks awesome from the outside and is adorned with its cute little ghost logo that projects on nearby buildings and as soon as you get close you smell those sweet, sweet cigars. It used to be owned by the Capone brothers, they do ghost and Dahmer tours, and they even serve a banging Old Fashioned and bar food.

Naturally, we did both tours… The Jeffrey Dahmer one took us up and down the strip highlighting key locations and told his evil story, I’m not big into serial killers, but Stang is and we both found it fascinatingly morbid, I’d recommend it to all you weirdos who watch Netflix docs about that shit.

Much more up my street was the ghost tour! We were lucky and had a private tour that takes you throughout the historic building from the basement to top rooms where all the ladies of the night used to do their thing. Now… Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe in ghosts, not at all, but after six old fashioneds and a few beers I was well into it! I believe I had a chat with a friendly ghost (think Caspar) in the basement with some divining rods, but for some spooky reason, my memory is a bit hazy!

It feels authentic yet fun and we had a great chat with the owner over some cigars, they’re awesome man, just really cool and we would love to go back one day.

Right… That’ll do it for now. I’ll post up about some other cool shit we did out in the states soon maybe. But genuinely, Milwaukee and the HD Museum were pretty special and set us off on this trip better than we could have ever hoped. Loved every minute.
